The Bar

The bar of the Princess Victoria has been lovingly restored. Deep slate coloured walls, brooding oil paintings and intricate wood parquet floors lead you into a room dominated by an impressive horseshoe shaped, marble topped bar. A former gin palace, Princess Victoria now prides herself on her wine list, offering 36 wines by the glass.

Traditional ales include Timothy Taylor Landlord and Wychwood Hobgoblin, as well as a seasonal guest ale. Our delicious Bar Snacks are available all day, and offer everything from Colchester oysters and crab bisque to deep fried pigs cheek with homemade pork scratchings.
